The standards establish a step-by-step, closed-loop commissioning workflow comprising six core stages, executed in the following order:
1.Diesel engine inspection: Check fluids, piping, structural integrity, cooling systems, and exhaust to ensure no leaks and proper component placement.
2.Generator inspection: Test insulation, wiring, circuitry, voltage regulation, and accessories to eliminate electrical hazards.
3.No-load commissioning: Start the unit and monitor idle speed, operating speed, voltage, frequency, noise levels, and exhaust; verify control functions.
4.Load commissioning: Apply loads in stages to observe voltage stability, temperature rise, fuel consumption, and exhaust emissions; test protection devices and verify noise reduction and heat dissipation performance.
5.Commissioning report: Archive test data, observations, and records of any corrective actions as part of the equipment's permanent file.
6.Site cleanup: Organize tools and consumables, clean the site, restore the environment, and close out the process.
